About AHTAFI

With the proceeds from his art sales and public speaking, Alex donates a significant portion to his nonprofit, Alex Haunty’s Theater and Arts Fund, Inc., to buy tickets for people with disabilities to see Broadway shows. Together with his family, he created this nonprofit organization in November 2014.

He has taken friends from Middleton high school's transition program, Cutting Edge program at Edgewood College and the Best Buddies Wisconsin program to see Broadway shows at the Overture Center in Madison WI. Some of the shows they have seen include  Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Sister Act, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and The Lion King.

In 2015, Alex received the Outstanding Young Philanthropist Award from the Greater Madison Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals WI.
